Why the distinction matters
A live bot changes the meeting experience and may introduce a new participant or processor at the moment data is collected. Post-meeting analysis does not remove GDPR obligations, but it gives the organization more control over which transcript is submitted, when processing starts and what is retained.

- Does the service join, record or listen to the live meeting?
- Is the original audio or uploaded file retained?
- Which providers receive transcript content?
- Can the customer control retention and deletion?
